Ingredients
Tahini sauce 1/4 cup
Lemon juice (1/2 lemon)
Salt 1/2-1 tbsp
Minced garlic clove 1-2
Olive oil 2 Tbsp, plus more for serving
Ground cumin 1 tbsp
Water 2-3 tbsp
Paprika / red chili powder for serving
Preparation
- In a food processor, combine tahini and lemon juice and process for 1 min. Scrape the sides of processor bowl and again process for 30 sec. This will make a smooth creamy mixture.
- Now add olive oil, salt, cumin and minced garlic to it and process again for 1 min.
- Again scrape from all sides and add chickpeas and process it further.
- It will be so thick that some of the chickpeas would still be in pieces. For this, add 2-3 tbsp of water and then process again until a smooth paste is ready.
- On a serving plate, spread it in a circular motion using a spoon and the pour some olive oil and sprinkle some paprika.
- It can be stored in refrigerator for a week.
