I wanted to try the recipe ever since I tasted this during festive season in India (made by my Mother-in-law) and loved it. So, here I am with the detailed recipe. Do try it out and let me know in the comments how you like it.

Ingredients
Sweet potato 2 medium
Grated coconut 1/2 cup
Cardamom Powder 1 tsp
Sugar/ jaggery (optional)
Oil for deep frying
Serving size: 4
Preparation
- Wash sweet potatoes thoroughly and boil them.
- Let it cool down and then peel and mash it.
- Add Wheat flour and grated coconut and knead it into a smooth dough. If your dough is sticky, add a little more flour.
- Adding sugar is optional depending on your taste and the sweetness of sweet potatoes. If you are adding jaggery, melt it in a pan first and add a little more flour to soak moisture.
- Heat oil in a deep frying pan.
- Make small balls of 1 inch diameter and roll them into poori shapes and place them flat on a plate. Make sure you don't overlap poori(s) to avoid sticking.
- Deep fry them on medium heat, 2 or 3 at a time and serve hot.
