Icing Roses Filled Cake

Start with a vanilla cake. I am assuming everyone knows a simple vanilla cake recipe ( If someone need vanilla cake recipe, please let me know)

Make two 10 inches (diameter) vanilla cakes and top one cake onto another with some icing in between to hold it nicely.

You Will Need

Icing
Icing Color
Icing bag
Icing tip 2110

Icing preparation & decoration:

  1. You can either buy ready-to-use icing or make your own at home. I used "Wilton Ready-To-Use Decorator Icing-White".
  2. If you want to make your own, here is a tutorial video, I would have used.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1-alLA8DPM0
  3. Take a tooth pick and dip it into the icing color (Wilton's Sky Blue Azul cielo) and mix it into your icing. Mix until you get a smooth texture throughout.
  4. Fill the colored icing into the icing bag and fit it with tip number 2110 ( I didn't had this tip, so I used tip 18). For best results, use tip 2110. (http://www.amazon.com/1M-Open-Star-Metal-Tip/dp/B00085F8TU)
  5. Cover the whole cake with a thin layer of colored icing before you start to decorate it with roses.
  6. And then starting from any point on the cake, press the tip at a place and then swirl it anti clockwise and release. Repeat this next to the 1st rose until your cake is completely covered with roses. For better understanding follow the below tutorial ( I referred this video for my cake): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S5iQH3WUHm0
