Ingredients
Grated Carrot 1 Kgs / 2 lbs
Milk 1 Ltr / 0.3 Gallon
Sugar 4 cup
Dry Fruits cashew, raisins, almond etc.
Clarified Butter/Ghee 1/2 cup
Cardamom powder 1/4 tbsp
Preparation
- Heat a big pan and add the grated carrots & milk. Stir and cook it on medium heat.
- Keep stirring the mixture scraping the sides of the pan time to time.
- When the mixture starts to thicken and milk is noticeably reduced, add clarified butter, sugar & cardamom powder. Stir well and reduce the heat.
- When it's almost close to drying up, add all dry fruits and stir well.
- Halwa is ready when the milk completely evaporates.
- Serve hot or refrigerate it in a air tight container. Heat and enjoy for a week or two.
