Palak Paneer Sanjeev Kapoor Way

Serving size: 2

Ingredients

Cleaned, boiled and pureed Spinach 11/2 cup
Sliced onion 1 medium
Cilantro paste 1 tbsp

Green chili chopped 3
Minced garlic 4-5 cloves ( or more if you like garlic flavor)
Oil for cooking
Black salt 1/4 tbsp
Salt to taste
Turmeric powder 1/2 tbsp
Cumin seeds 1 tbsp
Curd 1/2 cup
Coriander Powder 1 tbsp
Lemon juice 1/2 lemon
Paneer Cubes

Preparation

  1. Heat Oil in a pan, add cumin seeds and then minced garlic.
  2. Once garlic gets golden color, add sliced onion & green chili. Saute until onion gets translucent.
  3. Add curd, black salt, salt, turmeric powder, coriander powder and stir.

  4. Let it sit for few minutes and then add spinach puree. And let it cook for 1 more min.

  5. Add paneer cubes and add lemon juice at the end.

  6. Turn off the heat as excess cooking will result in losing the bright green color. I cooked for some extra time and hence lost the bright green color.
  7. Palak paneer is ready to be served with white rice or phulkas (Indian flat breads)
