Microwave Dhokla




Ingredients 

Chickpea/gram flour 1 cup
Water 1/2 cup
Yogurt 1/4 cup
Salt 1 tbsp
Sugar 1 tbsp (add more if you like)
Turmeric powder 1/4 tbsp
Oil 1 tbsp
Ginger paste 1 tbsp
Fruit salt (Eno-no flavor) 1½ tbsp
Chopped green chili 3

TADAKA
Green chili cut in half vertically 3
Mustard seeds 1 tbsp
Coriander leaves
Curry leaves
Asafetida 
Oil 1 tbsp  
Sugar (optional)
Water 1/2 cup

Preparation

  1. Take chickpea flour in a mixing bowl, add yogurt to it and mix well. Add 1/2 cup water and make a smooth paste.

  2. Now add salt and turmeric powder and mix it again. Paste should be lump free.
  3. Add ginger paste, green chili and mix.
  4. Add sugar and oil and mix again to a smooth batter.

  5. Grease a microwave safe pan and then add fruit salt and stir in well and pour the batter into the greased pan immediately after adding fruit salt.



  6. Microwave on high for 4 min and fluffy dhokla is ready.


Tadka


  1. Now heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds. Leave it for 30 secs.
  2. Add green chili, coriander leaves, curry leaves, asafetida and stir for 30 secs.
  3. Add water and sugar(optional) and let it bowl for 2 min.
  4. Pour the tadka on dhoka and cut it softly into squares.
  5. Dhokla is ready to be served with green chutney or ketchup.
