Pizza Base

Ingredients


All purpose flour
Olive Oil
Salt 1/2 tbsp
Sugar 1 tbsp
Instant Yeast 1 pouch
Luke warm water 1 cup

Preparation

  1. Add a teaspoon of sugar to 1/2 cup of luke warm water and then add instant yeast and let it rise for 10 mins. Sugar helps yeast rise faster.
  2. In a mixing bowl, add salt to all purpose flour and add the risen yeast and mix well.
  3. In another bowl pour 2 tbsp of olive oil and transfer the mixture to this bowl and coat it well with olive oil. Cover and set aside for an hour for the dough to rise.
  4. Before starting to knead it, set the oven to 450F for pre heating.
  5. Spread flour on the work area and start kneading the dough, folding the corners and pressing & pushing it from center towards outward with heals of the hands until it's no more sticky.
  6. Roll the dough into round shape, grease the baking tray and transfer the rolled dough on it.
  7. Cover the pizza base with marinara sauce and top with your choice of toppings and bake for 15-20 min until the pizza is golden and crusty.
