Alloo Parathe With A Twist / Stuffed Potato Bread

Ingredients

Boiled and peeled potato 3-4 medium
Green peas

Minced onion 1
Coriander leaves
Minced green chili
Cooking oil / clarified butter (ghee)
Cumin seeds 1 tbsp
Salt to taste
Coriander powder 11/2 tbsp
Turmeric powder 1/2 tbsp

Dough:
Wheat flour
Kalonji seeds 2 tbsp
Oil 2 tbsp
Water
Knead a soft dough


Preparation

  1. Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, minced onion and green chili.
  2. When onion turns soft, add green peas.
  3. Cut boiled potatoes into pieces or mash them up.
  4. Add potatoes to the pan and mash while frying.
  5. Add salt, turmeric and coriander powder and chopped coriander leaves. Fry for 2-3 min.
  6. Keep this filling aside to cool down.
  7. Like every paratha stuffing, stuff this filling  and cook the paratha over hot skillet/tawa, applying butter/ghee on both sides and turning in between.
  8. Paratha's are ready to be served with curd/ green chitney/ pickle. Enjoy!!
