Paneer Tikka

Ingredients

Paneer 1 lbs/approx 500 gms
Curd 1/2 cup
Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp
Salt
Coriander powder 2 tbsp
Garam Masala 1 tbsp
Lemon juice 2 tbsp
Green chili paste 1/2 tbsp OR to taste
Skews 4-5 large
Oil spray
Square sliced bell Pepper 2
Square sliced onion 1

Preparation

  1. For marinade, mix together all ingredients except paneer and prepare a smooth mixture.
  2. Cut paneer in big cubes to avoid breaking while skewing.
  3. Add paneer cubes to the marinade, cover and let it sit at room temperature for at least 1 hour.
  4. Preheat oven to 350 F or 180 degree C.
  5. Spray some oil on the baking sheet to avoid paneer sticking to the sheet.
  6. Skew a piece of bell pepper, onion and paneer and repeat it until the skew is full, leaving some space at both the ends of the skew to hold & turn in between baking.
  7. Place the ready skewers on the baking sheet and spray some oil on them as well.
  8. Place it under the oven and bake for 25 min, turn the skews half way.
  9. Take it out of the oven when it seems to be slightly browned. Sprinkle some chat masala to enhance the taste.
  10. Serve with mint/ cilantro chutney, sliced lemon and onions.
